Our MOMENTUM: Collaborating for Employment Inclusion in Veneto, Italy

The MOMENTUM initiative represents a collaborative effort among partners from five European nations (Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Hungary), uniting Public Employment Services, training institutions, social enterprises, and civil society organizations. Together, they've co-designed, developed, and tested integrated services. These services aim to overcome both structural and cultural barriers experienced by women with migrant backgrounds, facilitating their access to training and the labor market.

Funded under the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (FAMI) and launched in 2021, the project has encompassed extensive research, multi-stakeholder collaboration, experimental training, and advocacy activities. Now, it culminates in the dissemination and sharing of the progress made so far in the territories impacted by MOMENTUM. The objective is to encourage the creation and implementation of services supporting vocational training and employment integration for women from third countries. This effort seeks to ease their entry into the labor market.

Set to take place on Wednesday, November 15th in Venice, Italy, the event aims to engage authorities, stakeholders, and professionals involved in services dedicated to immigration and the socio-economic integration of foreigners. Its purpose is to deepen understanding and awareness of the challenges faced in the socio-occupational integration of migrant women. Additionally, the event aims to stimulate the joint development of policy recommendations, promoting an integrated governance approach for policies that support the access and inclusion of women in the labor market.
