News Updates From Territories

Collaboration has emerged as a powerful force in driving positive change and unlocking our collective potential. The Momentum Project is harnessing this power by bringing together stakeholders from various sectors to empower Third-Country National (TCN) women. Through comprehensive training programs and ongoing support, Momentum is facilitating their integration, fostering entrepreneurship, and addressing the complex challenges faced by these remarkable women. Let's explore the project's progress in Spain, Italy, Hungary, Greece, and Portugal.

Spain: Breaking Barriers and Fostering Integration

In Spain, the Momentum program commenced with team-building sessions followed by intensive instruction in entrepreneurial skills and social economy. The collaborative efforts of three Spanish partners facilitated a successful meeting at the Government of Cantabria's Palacio Festivales. Monthly progress meetings ensure the participants receive the support they need, and the training program is set to conclude soon, equipping them with the tools for successful integration.

Italy: Embracing Diversity and Tailored Support

In Italy, the Momentum training began with a diverse group of participants from various backgrounds. The program incorporates team-building exercises, personal reflection, and informative sessions delivered by external experts. To accommodate family responsibilities, morning sessions lasting two hours were scheduled. Italian language courses have also been initiated, further enhancing their language skills and empowering their integration efforts.

Hungary: Empowering Women Through Training and Support

Since May, the Momentum Project in Hungary has successfully trained over 20 participants. The sessions cover self-awareness, teamwork skills, legal aspects, visa processes, safe employment, and provide insights into social economy and employment opportunities. Interactive Hungarian language courses and individualized employment counseling and mentoring sessions contribute to the participants' personal and professional growth, fostering empowerment and independence.

Greece: Empowerment, Creativity, and Collaboration

In Greece, the Momentum Project organized community activities that celebrated International Women's Day and fostered empowerment through creative workshops. The training program officially commenced with workshops on the project and discussions about the Greek labor market. Special attention has been given to addressing the unique needs of the participants, including accommodating mothers by providing creative activities for their children. Greek language lessons, social entrepreneurship workshops, and tailored job counseling have further enhanced the participants' prospects, fostering a strong team spirit and igniting collaborative efforts towards social business ideas.

Portugal: Enriching Experiences and Sustained Support

In Portugal, the Momentum Project combined community activities and informative sessions into a full-day event, creating an inclusive environment. The training program continues throughout July, offering a planned curriculum and skill-building activities. Employment counseling, language courses, and peer-to-peer mentoring sessions will provide ongoing support to ensure the sustained growth and success of the participants beyond the training program.

The Momentum Project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in empowering TCN women. Through the comprehensive training programs and ongoing support provided in Spain, Italy, Hungary, Greece, and Portugal, these women are gaining the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary for successful integration and entrepreneurship. By fostering collaboration and embracing diversity, the Momentum Project is driving meaningful change, creating a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
