Fact Sheet: Everything you need to know about MOMENTUM

More than 2.4 million Third-Country Nationals (TCN) aged 18-35 have arrived in the EU since 2015. Women represent 45.6% of this population and face numerous social challenges due to adversities related to being both migrants and women.

MOMENTUM reduces barriers and breaks silos to ensure equal and fair opportunities for all. By bringing together relevant political, educational, and social stakeholders, we promote collective and inclusive problem-solving while sharing valuable insight along the way.

A lot of incredible work has been done since kicking off the 24-month programme in January 2022. Along with our partners, we conducted in-depth research on the barriers to accessing vocational training and the labour market faced by young migrant women. We also explored the level of collaboration among key stakeholders. Euricse led this project, and all insights were published in our Research Findings Report.

We are proud to announce that we are currently rolling out 25 Participatory Labs hosted by 60 key stakeholders across five European countries - Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Hungary. These labs will generate new ways of multi-stakeholders collaboration increasing access of TCN women to integrated services and the labour market.

In 2023, we will continue on this collaborative journey to build a better, more accessible, and more cooperative society. On the policy-making front, a meeting is set for Brussels in February to discuss how to drive tangible progress. In March, we’ll use our collaborative insights and experience to establish and roll out local ecosystems. And finally, in April, we’ll launch training programmes designed for TCN women to help them unlock their full potential. It's time to bridge the gaps and empower women from all walks of life!
